Nuqta

The steel cage art piece, commissioned by Ghalib Hawila, draws inspiration from the Nuqta, the fundamental element in Arabic calligraphy. Much like the Nuqta serves as the basis for Arabic letterforms, the steel cage serves as a foundational skeleton housing over 1500 Plywood sticks suspended on strings, arranged symmetrically to visually depict the name of 'Allah.' This artwork, like the Nuqta collection, explores the transformative power of a single element, the dot. From the dot, various shapes and concepts emerge, inviting contemplation on the relationship between humanity and the universe, delving into the mysteries of life from a philosophical and mystic perspective.
